Personal: Talis is a life-long resident of Pierce County, and currently resides in Edgewood. Talis and his family enjoy a variety of outdoor activities. Hobbies include photography and mountaineering.
Education: A graduate of Sumner High School, Talis received a B.A. from the University of Washington in 1988, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Puget Sound School of Law in 1991.
Areas of Practice: Talis emphasizes real estate, business, and general civil litigation. During his thirteen years with the Attorney General’s Office Talis developed significant experience representing the State in a variety of areas including: real estate, contracts, environmental, employment, civil rights, personal injury, and appellate practice.
Professional Memberships: Talis is a member of the Washington State Bar Association. In that organization he has served as Chair of the Corrections Committee and as a member of the Civil Rights Committee. He is also admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States District Courts in the Eastern and Western Districts of Washington.
